Job Description

Solutions Protech is currently looking for a  Field service representative  to fill a  permanent position  for one of our customers in the aerospace industry located near Mirabel.

The main role of the field service representative is to play a critical role in documenting and supporting customers with technical issues arising from the various product lines manufactured/supported by the company’s division. The field service representative must provide on-site assistance to customers, as well as coordinate activities with various departments across various sites (Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC).



  • Act as point person for technical issues experienced by the customer for the company products. Provide support 24/7 (shared responsibility with existing personnel);
  • Monitor and ensure issues are resolved to customer satisfaction in a timeframe acceptable to the customer (creation of DSI’s, SB’s, revision to existing manufacturing drawings, manufacturing drawings, technical documentation, as required, etc.);
  • Utilizes the company resources (Engineering, QA/QC, Manufacturing, etc.) to the extent necessary to make this happen;
  • Ensure continuous communication between the company and customers and between Tech Support and other departments involved. Keep Account Managers informed and/or inform them of resolution of issue;
  • Capture and document all issues of significance promptly and completely using the SalesForce, opening Cases, and issuing No Charges, NCR’s, and so forth. Gather all possible information whenever a customer is requesting an RA (warranty, dissatisfaction) or after report of premature wear or failure of part/assembly/kit is requested for investigation purposes;
  • Produce letters requested by customers for items such as “acceptable deviation letters” (for customers in need to install the company product with slight deviation – Engineering approval is mandatory prior to writing the letter), “no objection to install”, “confirmation” (if customers requires confirmation that a piece of the company needs to replace an original equipment manufacturer for example);
  • Assist engineering with data gathering (on site visit, trial fit, etc.);
  • Support Product Warnings, RA and other Customer Support tasks whenever required;
  • Elaborate and/or help prepare the drawing package of Customer Support Driven Projects for engineering’s review and approval;
  • Provide on-site assistance to customer with first install of new products.


  • DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology or DEC in Industrial Design or DEC in Aerospace engineering;
  • Knowledge of AutoCad or/and Solidworks;
  • Mechanical design experience of minimum 2 years;
  • Customer support experience is an asset;
  • Aerospace background is an asset;
  • Maintenance experience is an asset;
  • Experience in software mainly CRM;
  • Able to travel (At least 2 or 3 times per year for trainings in the United States);
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
