Job Description

 Protech Solutions is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager to fill a permanent position for one of our customers in the manufacturing industry located in  Plattsburgh.


The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales and will be responsible for short and long term strategy development and execution relative to the profitable growth of this business in the Municipal and Industrial Markets. The Regional Sales Manager will ensure that programs are in place to maximize market (client) penetration for our products as well as sales and aftermarket services or other lines of business.


This person drives the sales and business development, sales policy and decision framework that will lead the business for healthy growth and attainment of market leadership in the assigned territory.


Key responsIbilities


  • Participate in formulating sales and business development goals, marketing plans and strategy. Specifically, coordinates the development and implementation of both long term (strategic plan) and short term (operating plan) business plans in his assigned territory.
  • Evaluate economic justification and positioning of various key customer projects, and develop partnerships in the market.
  • Support company’s business development opportunities and prepare plans to effectively reach the customer base in these markets where the company is not currently present.
  • Effectively manage customer relations in accordance with the business plans for the markets.
  • Provide leadership to grow the company’s brand image, lead marketing activities, exhibitions, promotions and creation of effective sales support material for these markets.
  • Develop, in concert with other members of the sales team, the long (5 yrs.) and mid-term (2 yrs.) sales forecasts in terms of annual deliveries, sales opportunities and target customers.
  • Participate in sales campaigns, act as capture manager and conduct all activities including proposal preparation to win sales in these markets.
  • Provide consistent sales reports, biweekly and quarterly with good quality research and reporting on the market and competition.



Candidate qualifications




  • Engineering Degree: Electrical, Mechanical or Civil.
  • OR Business Degree combined with over 5 years selling technical products preferably blower components or turbo machinery.



  • Business-to-Business sales experience.
  • Knowledgeable in municipal and industrial procurement.
  • Proven track record in marketing, sales and business development in municipal and industrial sector.
  • Has led and won major sales in a complex and competitive environment.
  • Succeeded with engineering firms in developing specifications leading to selection of high quality products.
  • Over five years’ experience in a similar position leading sales.



  • English, knowledge of other languages is an asset.
