Position: Production Coordinator

 

 

Brief Job Description:

 

  • Plan, organize, manage, and control production activities in the department to reach productivity, quality and cost targets.
  • Provide leadership and support to ensure a safe working environment is maintained and foster a “safety first” attitude and atmosphere
  • Plan, organize, lead and control daily production activity in your area
  • Improve productivity, quality and delivery in the work cells assigned
  • Ensure that the quality produced fully meets customer and company standards
  • Lead communication efforts throughout the work unit
  • Promote Company values by leading by example in everyday activities
  • Build work discipline and a “success through teamwork” culture
  • Train & develop subordinates into multi-skilled team members. Develop next level leaders to become Production Coordinators
  • Administer the performance management process through assessment, feedback, coaching and counselling
  • Lead continuous improvement Kaizens and the implementation of improvements in work processes
  • Ensure company programs, policies and procedures are applied
  • Develop and maintain harmonious, effective relationships with other company departments
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts – drive efforts in your area

 

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Completed degree in technical discipline preferred, with 8+ years leadership experience. Substantial relevant experience may be substituted for college diploma.
  • Experience in developing teams and working in a team-based environment.

 

 

Knowledge & Skills:

 

  • Training and implementation of lean manufacturing concepts and tools preferred.
  • Superior training, communication and coaching skills.
  • Results oriented and positive leader.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate in French is a plus but not required.
